Today (4 Oct 2024), Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, spoke about the flood situation in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces at this time. The Chiang Mai Governor and the Acting Chiang Rai Governor have continuously reported the situation. The Ministry of Interior has now sent aid to the area, both in terms of equipment and mobilizing over 1,000 Volunteer Defense Corps (VDs) from every province across the country, including rescue teams that have gone in to provide relief.
